Two Individuals Accused Over Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Assault
Formal charges have been brought against two men related to a luggage theft where a believed to be irritant spray resulted in harm at the major London air hub.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two counts of robbery and charges for deploying a toxic agent, according to official statements.
These accusations come after an probe of an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Prior to the attack, two female travelers had their luggage taken after getting out of a car park lift, authorities reported.
A toddler was among those injured in the event. Several persons went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
The incident – which authorities stated was not part of a series and deemed non-terroristic – led to disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
