The First Xbox Game Pass Titles of 2026 Show Xbox Remains Committed.
Everywhere you go, commentators persist in tolling the death bells for the green team. Xbox was recently outsold by a platform few have heard of. Xbox fan sites are now publishing content on PS5 topics as a new development. Last year proved to be a period of total upheaval for Xbox and Microsoft. Yet, based exclusively on the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it becomes clear that Xbox continues to plan to attract subscribers with quality releases on its flagship service.
The Available Now Titles
The duo of games you can play right now as you read this, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass over the next few weeks that's deserving of attention.
Upcoming Headline Games
Come mid-January, Game Pass will add the often-overlooked Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that breaks up conventional open-world tropes with a space-faring criminal escapade. A further major acquisition is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, hailed in past assessments as "the perfect cocktail of frights and fights."
Noteworthy Smaller Games
But even the smaller games arriving shortly on the service are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite that's a blast to play, arrives January 7th — and it merits a playthrough whether or not you experienced the first Lost in Random game.
This UK-developed survival title from last year might get its hooks in you remarkably quickly.
Atomfall, the stealth survival game by Rebellion Developments, is another one to watch. Those with the top-tier subscription also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.
A Robust Selection of Games
In summary, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, and they don't represent first-party juggernauts that are the sole reason for the service in the first place. Yet, this selection are exceptionally strong. The lineup provides a solid mix of old games you might have missed and fairly new titles that failed to receive the spotlight they warranted upon launch — which makes them excellent choices to get a second chance on Game Pass.
You might need to brace yourself to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, as it happens.
