Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with book publisher.

Best-selling young adult author and entertainer David Walliams has been dropped by his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm.

A representative for the firm said: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."

Reports indicate that the move was made after an review of reports of inappropriate behaviour directed at female individuals.

The firm did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "We do not comment on internal matters."

A Prolific Publishing History

Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.

Several of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.

To date, he has released in excess of 40 works combined, encompassing a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.

His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE back in 2017 for his services to charity and the arts.

This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
